"A View of Greenwich and the Queen's House from the South-East," oil on canvas, by the Dutch artist Hendrick Danckerts. It is believed that Samuel Pepys, Secretary of the Admiralty, commissioned this work. He describes it in his diary, and it is likely that the couple pictured walking in the foreground are Pepys and his wife. 865 mm x 1210 mm. Circa 1670. Courtesy of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London.
